My nails is in a terrible condition. I have constant nausea and a feeling like of heartburn/gal. I suffer from constant constipation, with excessive winds (burping, etc). Feels like my food is always pushing up back into my throat. I have been on Metformin 500 x2 per day and lipitor 20 x 1 per day and Yasmin 1 x per day since Feb 07, but I don't know whats wrong and there seem to be no progress. I have been on a low GI diet, given by dietician since Feb 07. Not much exercising, but on rehab with physio from a shoulder operation in Jan 07. Please help I am relying on government medical.

Dear Nekkie
Unfortunately I need to have the reference ranges from the lab to be able to interpret this for you. However, this could be signs of cushing syndrome or polycystic ovarian syndrome and they should maybe also test your cortisol levels. Ask the doctor to refer you to the endocrinology clinic at the nearest academic hospital?
