Hi Joy
One factor in maintaining the delicate oestrogen balance in the body is a healthy digestive system and specifically in this case a healthy balanced gut flora.
I do not know of any effect of HRT on the gut flora per se.
A healthy gut flora however is key in metablosing insoluble fibre and regulating enzyme production, all of which contribute to balancing oestrogen levels. So it would follow that a probiotic supplement would be beneficial, especially in event of an upset in the gut flora balance, commonly caused by for example antibiotics, diarrhoea, too much sat food etc.
