Taking vit B supplements, particularly folic acid, Vit B2 and B12 can help to lower HC levels and may also have a positive effect on Alzheimer's. If you eat a balanced diet that is rich in unprocessed grains and cereals, legumes, fruit and vegetables, your intakes of folic acid and B2 should be good. If you add lean meat, liver, fish and 4 eggs a week to your diet then you should be getting adequate amounts of B12.
