Home pregnancy test

I did a home pregnancy test but the window stayed empty. Nothing happened...why?

It sounds like a faulty test. You should repeat it.

Hi there gg

I'm not sure which brand of test you took, but we have in the past tried 2 different ones, and they were pretty much the same.

The one had 2 windows, one as a control window and the other for the test results. In this one if the control window had a line in it then it meant that the test was performed correctly, and obviously if there was a line in the test window then it meant that the test was positive.

The other had a single window, but it had 2 lines on it. The one line meant that the test was performed correctly and if there was a second line it meant that the result was positive.

A little hint : If you find it difficult to hold the stick in your stream or urine (according to the leaflet you have to hold it directly in the stream for 5 seconds), you can alternatively urinate into a cup and then dip the stick into that, which may prove to be a little easier. Obviously the cup has to be clean etc.

Hope this helps you in some way.

It sounds like a faulty test.
If you did the normal urine HPT, and you did everything according to the instructions, then you should get a dark line in the one corner of the window, and if pregnant another line, if not pregnant you will see only one dark line.
Buy another test, and test again tomorrow morning.

Good luck
