HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO WAIT BEFORE YOU GET YOUR RESULTS FOR A HIV BLOOD TEST?

Hi

It depends on the laboratory and the type of test. Usually the result of an Elisa test will be out within 24 hours (or two to three hours if handled as an urgent specimen). A PCR test will take a bit longer depending on the lab, but usually you will have the result at the longest within 48 hours.
