Hip Pain doing Pushing Hands

Please can you advise, a student is getting severe internal hip pains when doing pushing hands, she said she used to do Tai-Bo and use to get the same pains. She is describing the pain not to be muscular but more like internal organs / ovaries .....

Any suggestions?

Regards

Quentin

HI Quentin,

Thank you for posting on the Tai Chi forum.

What you are describing tells me that the first thing your student needs to do is visit her GP for a medical examination. If it has not got to do with the bone structure or muscles/tendons then it cannot be the way she is doing her Tai Chi.
When doing pushing hands make sure her hips are alligned i.e parallel to the ground and not tilted. See if that elleviates the pain.

Kindest Regards
Morné
