Hemorrhoids - Scheriproct

I have hemorrhoids and my gynaes receptionist advised me use the Scheriproct ointment, but the leaflet says NOT to use it while pregnant, I'm 38 weeks. Is it safe to use or not, and might there be alternatives?

Although it is used in late pregnancy, excessive use should be avoided.

My gynaecologist yesterday prescribed Scheriproct ointment to me and I am only 13 weeks pregnant. I have also read the leaflet and don't know if I should start using it. What would you recommend?
