Heart rate over 200

Hi there. I am reasonably fit and yesterday, while exercising, my heart shot up to over 200 bpm with not very much effort. It did not stay there for long (less than 10 seconds) and I did not feel ill. Should I be worried about this? I do suffer from High blood pressure. Thanks

Dear M
your Max heart rate can be worked out:
220 – your age = Maximum Heart Rate
If you exercise with your heart rate going higher than this, you are probably overexerting yourself and I would not recommend this.
