You will have to consult a doctor for an examination. Severe muscle spasm of the muscles connecting at the back of the scull can cause these terrible headaches. Your doctor will be able to evaluate if the headaches are due to muscle spasm and if not, he/she might refer you to a neurologist.

Hi Paul,

Have you checked your blood pressure? very high Blood Pressure can cause shronic headaches. BP headaches usually throb.
If that is ruled out, it could be from eye strain - You''d need to go for a check up to your GP to make sure.
