Hayfever

Would like to know,my husband is a drinker who mostly drink on weekend.Why is it when he drinks beer he get flu like symtoms.The runny nose,sneasing and loud snoring when he sleeps.He is 34 years old and been drinking from a very young age.Last time the dc said its his immune system.Its has never been like that before.
