Gaining CM

Hi there,

I am a 25 year old female embarking on a new exercise routine. It''s very intense but I''ve progressed nicely (from being able to do only four minutes in December to now doing 20 minutes). I get more tired doing this than doing 40 minutes on the treadmill.

I have not weighed myself because I know better than to base my progress on weight but I have gained between three - five cms on my waist and hips (butt) respectively. Not complaining about my increased girth on my calves though as they have always been pretty shapeless.

Why would this be? I''ve been very good with my diet (regular meals, extra water, fruit salads when I can, veggies for lunch and supper, meat cooked without oil, etc).

I am looking bigger which is not my goal. Should I go back to the treadmill every now and again?

Hi Megs,

It sounds like you are doing a combination of cardio and endurance which is called aerobic-endurance - which is good.
Yes, i would advise going on the treadmill for 20 minutes, 3 times per day.

Let me know if this works. If not, will look at it again...
