Fluid intake

It is said that one should not take any fluids while eating. But exactly how long BEFORE a meal? Aand how long AFTER meals can one take fluids again?

The only injunction about drinking with meals is that you should not drink litres of water with a meal because this will dilute your stomach acid and make it more difficult to digest. You can certainly have a glass of fruit juice, water, etc, with meals or a cup of coffee or tea afterwards with no ill effects.

ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH DRINKING WITH MEALS. SOME PEOLPLE DONT CHEW WELL AND THEN USE LIQUIT TO HELP SWALLOW. THEN BRING INDIGESTION. BEST IS TO DRINK HALF AN HOUR BEFORE AND AFTER MEALS IF YOU HAVE PRBLEMS WITH INDIGESTION
