FIP

My beautiful Birman kitten was recently put to sleep a month ago due to FIP. The breeder has offered us another kitten, who is 87 months old and has a titre of 1:320. Another breeder has advised that we should ask for a liver and kidney function test as well, to try and rule out the illness even more. Is this necessary? ANd, the breeder would like to give us 2 cats at the same time. Is it better to take one and see how it goes and rather introduce a 2nd one later.
