Fat allowed?

How much fat can be consumed in a day before it becomes considered unhealthy? Also, what is a healthy kilojoule:fat:fibre ratio?

Dear Rene
If you are on a slimming diet then 65 g of fat a day should not be exceeded. If you are not trying to lose weight then you can probably ingest a bit more, but make sure that it is as little saturated fat as possible, rather concentrating on poly- and monounsaturated fats and oils instead. For a normal woman who is not trying to lose weight, the following ratio can be used: 9250 kJ: 75 g fat: 25 g fibre.
