Fast heart beat- girl?

Morning all.
I was told that if your baby has a fast heart beat it is an indication of a girl?
Is this true?
Are there any other ways you can tell the sex of the baby?
(other than asking the doc or seeing it in a ultrasound?)

Thanks so much

No this is not true. There are a lot of old wives' tales, but none of them will tell you the sex of the baby.

Best wishes

Ultrasound/scans are not 100% accurate with the sex of a baby, as shadows and all sorts can give an incorrect picture.

The only way to tell 100% is to check the chromosomes, as they do when testing the skin cells in the amniotic fluid when they do an amniosecentisis.

You can't tell the sex from any of these:
how fast the heart beats
how big your bum is
if your bump is high or low
whether you crave orange juice or not
whether you are nauseus or not
whether you have pimples or not
whether you have chloasma or not (butterfly mask)
dangling a wedding ring over your tummy with a strand of hair

Unfortunately this is an old wives tale.
Nothing, apart from the ultrasound and amnio can tell you the sex of the baby.
