Dear Jay

Unfortunately as you know, IVF has a success rate in the best of hands at around 35-40%. There may not always be a reason as to why conception or implantation has not occurred. The possible reasons why implantation may not occur would include, poor embryo quality, poor endometrial response, in other words a thin endometrium or a difficult transfer of the embryo into he endometrial cavity.
