Excessive sweating in Paraplegic

My brother is a paraplegic and is experiencing excessive sweating and is extremely cold all the time. His clothes quickly become soaked with sweat whether he is indoors/outdoors it' s all the same he struggles to maintain a comfortable body tempreture. We have had his kidneys/bladder checked out and this is not the cause. Please could you advise the possible causes and treatments available?

His heat/cold intolerance is caused by neuro-vascular instability syndrome, due to his spinal cord injury. There is no exact cause and no definate treatment. It is advisable to install air-conditioners in his home (which is fully tax-deductible for spinal cord injury patients). This will assist with the regulation of his body temperature.

Be very aware of infections, especially bladder infections and he will have to do a yearly scan of his kidneys and bladder for stones.

Bowel problems, especially facal impaction, can also cause severe sweating and uncomfortability. He can have a abdominal and pelvic x-ray.

Induration and the formations of sores, pressure sores, as well as bed sores can also cause his symptoms.

His feet can be a common site for sores and infections.

Taking the above into account, I suggest that he consults a doctor for a full examination.
