Dear Zelle
The most important things you can do, are to a) eat a balanced diet which includes plenty of fruit and vegetables, unsifted, high-fibre cereals and grains, milk and dairy products, fish (for omega-3 fatty acids), lean meat, eggs, poly- or monounsaturated margarine and oils, nuts and legumes so that your brain is well nourished b) don't skip meals - the brains needs a constant supply of glucose and energy at all times. If you eat regular meals and also have healthy snacks in between (fruit, crisp bread with peanut butter or cheese, dried fruit and nuts) you will ensure that your blood glucose levels are kept at a constant level. Dips in blood glucose can starve the brain of its fuel and make you tired and decrease concentration c) take a complete vitamin and mineral supplement like Centrum or Supradyn Forte plus Salmon oil capsules to make sure that you have sufficient vitamins and minerals (esp iron) and omega-3 to assist brain function. Also get sufficient sleep and go for a brisk 30 minute walk once or twice a day to flood your brain with the oxygen it needs for optimum function.
Good luck with the exams
