They are the same.

I didn't feel nauseous with my ectopic, but I was off food, I had painful breasts which grew in size, I went to the loo more often and I didn't want to smoke.
I didn't even suspect pregnancy, and when I went to the doctor about the bleeding and excruciating pain, I was most suprised to hear that I was pregnant. Then I went to the gynae who said I had an ectopic pregnancy and they did a laparascopy.

With my normal pregnancy, I didn't get any symptoms till 6 weeks, and was then so nauseous that I vomited all day long and lost weight.
