Eltroxin

Hi there

What does Eltroxin do?

Why would a dietician prescribe Eltroxin and Moduretic for me?

Eltroxin is a thyroid hormone supplement - It is indicated for an underactive thyroid. It should only be used after a thyroid function test has been done (at your GP). Moduretic is a diuretic used to control blood pressure and also help with water retention.
A dietician cannot 'prescribe' this as both are prescription items - By law dieticians (unless also a medical doctor) are not allowed to prescribe medication.
