egg whites

Hi, i know eating to many eggs is not that healthy but if one eats the egg albumen only, this cuts out collestrol completely, is this right? So in effect one can eat as many egg whites as they want without being at risk. Could you comment on this one. Cheers,
ca

Hi Ca,

Eggs do not contain as high cholesterol levels as kidney and liver!
Each egg (including yolk) has under 300mg of cholesterol. This is not going to cause problems unless you are having 5 or 6 eggs a day. Removing the yolk does reduce the cholesterol. So if you are having a large number of eggs a day it would be best to remove the yolk.
