Dear Nikki

Thank you for visiting

Dystonia is defined as slow prolonged movements of the trunk muscles and distal muscle group, for example, spasmodic movement of neck muscles, shoulder muscles, as well as repeated eye closure (seen in elderly women worsened by stress). It is a slow progressive disease and unfortunately, it has no cure.

Please consult a Neurologist, in order for him/her to confirm the diagnosis of Dystonia and to have the correct medication prescribed.

Kind regards

Dr Anrich Burger
