Dogs pant, cats......?

I would just like to ask how a cats cools down? Humans sweat and dogs pant when they are hot but what happens to a cat?

If cats are really hot, they do pant. Normally though, they just seek cool places to lie so heat can escape by conduction. They will also lose heat through the nose, ears and feet. If necessary, they pant like dogs. Also, they tend to be not very active, therefore they generate less heat. Very interesting question!

Cats pant too! Have you never seen a cat pant? Its usually when they are very hot that they do that, otherwise they like to lie on cold surfaces like tiled floors.
