Dog hurt foot

I have a diabetic husky, 7 yrs old, gets injections &  pigs pancreas. He hurt his leg a week ago and has been to vet 3 times. On anti-inflammatory, first injections then Rimadyl 100mg. Vet says no breakage, can''t find problem. Wants to do x-rays. I don''t think he''s strong enough, don''t want him anaethetised, vet says sedative just as dangerous. We did an x-ray with him awake (not fun) and vet thinks he dislocated a bone in his foot but says we need a real x-ray, talking orthopedic surgeons &  pins. Dog still hopping on 3 legs, only puts weight on foot 20% of time. No crying, v happy, eating, excited when dogs walk past etc. Doesn''t cry when I press anywhere on leg. Have spent almost R50k on him w diabetes, love him, it''s NOT that I''m stingy, but can''t I just wait &  see rather than surgeons &  dangerous x-rays? Thank you!!

Dear June

You can wait and see how things go just with anti-inflammatories for a while.
