Diff between a Cyst and a Follicle

Hope you can help
Had an Internal Sonar does yesterday by FS
Saw a follicle that is 20mm big.
Had an Ovedril injection immediately after appointment at the Blood People.
Had to BD last night, this morning and again tonight.
Have to starting taking 2 ustrogestan Pills everynight before bedtime for 15 days.
What is all this for (the injection and pills etc) and how does FS know that it is not a Cyst as I had a Cyst in September.
Can you see the difference between a Cyst and a follicle

Hope anybody can help

The medication is all to help you conceive. A follicle is different from a cyst in that it appears at a certain stage of the cycle and grows till you ovulate. Your fertility specialist is tracking your cycle, so knows when the follicle appears.

A FS would be able to tell the difference so dont worry. The injection is to release the egg inside the follicle - exactly 36 hours later.
