Congratulations to you too on your pregnancy. So far you have gained 9 kg, which is a bit fast for a pregnant woman who started out her pregnancy with a normal weight (was your weight normal before you started?). You can eating an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet (click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss', ‘Balanced diet' and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), but make sure that you add another 2 cups of fat-free milk, yoghurt or cottage cheese to your daily intake (to increase the calcium content of the diet). If there are no reasons why you may not do exercise then it will also help to increase your energy output by going for walks in the fresh air for 30 min a day. But first check with the dr or gynae if you are allowed to exercise.
