Diabetes

My mother is a diabetic and I am beginning to show all the symptoms, 6 kg weight loss, hunger, thirst, urination, tiredness, infections etc. My fasting blood sugar is 5,8 tested on my mothers home machine. Should I worry or could this be stress as I am really stressed out this time of the year.

A, it sounds like you’re still OK, but the safest would be to have blood taken for a fasting serum glucose and an HbA1c (it will give you the average of the last three months). Good luck.
