deviation nasal septum

Dear CyberDoc
Can a deviation of the nasal septum cause inflammation of the sinuses and pain in the cheeks and jaw?
How is the operation done to correct the problem? Through the nostrils?
Thank you
Joanne

Joanne, it may cause sinusitis and this may cause the pain you describe. The operation is done through the nostrils and isn’t a very complicated one – so don’t worry. :-) Good luck.
