Our expert says:
I would advise that you visit your local veterinary surgeon to ascertain if there is a bacterial infection.
The vet will do a thorough examination to rule out the other causes of diarrhoea (nutritional, parasitic, organ related) before prescribing any medication. The try of medication prescribed will depend on what the problem is.
For general problems I prescribe amoxicillin/clavulate and metronidazole.
