Dealing with a loss

Hi
How does one carry on with day to day stuff after watching a friend die in front of you and there was not much I can do. He had
a massive heart attack and doctors could not safe him. I blame myself and feel that If I did not stand on his back he would still be
here. Please help

Dear Pearl
80% of patients with a massive heart attack will die whatever you do - a big part of the muscle of the heart just die and the heart can't pump enough blood through the body. What do you mean by you stood on his back?
