CT scan

Hi dok

My gastro het my verwys vir 'n CT skandering van die buik en pelvis sodat ek meer gerusstellling kan kry oor die pyn wat ek ervaar.

Ek is bietjie senuweeagtig. Het 2 bottels barium gekry om te drink twee ure voor die tyd. Ek is baie bang vir die jodium inspuiting...bang ek kry dalk allergiese reaksie of my vel begin weer brand soos die kere wat ek sekere medikasie gevat het.

Is dit 'n veilige prosedure?

Hulle het darem altyd 'n noodtrollie byderhand om anti-allergiese goed te spuit as daar 'n reaksie is maar jy moet vir die radioloog vertel watter medikasie nie met jou akkordeer nie. Barium word nie opgeneem nie, dit is onaktief en gaan bo in en onder uit!
