Cortisone (20mg x2 a day) - Prednisone

Hi doc

Please let me know if cortisone (Prednisone) is OK to be taken while pregnant, I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant. I'm taking cortisone (20mg x2 a day) because of inflamation in my heels, the doctor said if will only strengthen my babies lungs.
Your assistance would be highly appreciated

Regards
Blondie

Big doses of cortisone for a long time can affect the growth of the fetus. If it is necessary for you to take it though, you should do so.
