Our expert says:
Cortisol and most other corticosteroids do increase appetite and can cause weight gain. You don't mention why your cortisol levels are increased (medication? stress? excessive exercise?), so all I can suggest is that you either discuss this problem with the dr who is treating your with cortisone, or see a psychologist to help you to learn relaxing techniques, or use a carbohydrate drink to lower cortisol levels if you exercise too intensively.
