Contraceptive pill

In trying to conceive my first child, it was established that I do not ovulate naturallly. I then went on Clomid and after 7 months I fell pregnant. I would like to have another child in about 2 years time. In the event that I do begin ovulating naturally, would the contraceptive pill assist in maintaining my " good"  eggs as it prevents ovulation.
