constantly running to the toilet

i have had this "bladder infection" for about a week, well that's what i think it is!
i went to the doctor a couple of months ago because i had a bladder problem and he said that i must go for a papsmeer, is this the reason, i've never been for one and i'm 21 years old!

what causes a bladder infection? can anyone help me?

You do not necessarily have a bladder infection. You should see your doctor to check that this is the cause for your running to the toilet. Bladder infections are not related to having or not having pap smears. Pap smears are done t screen dor cancer of the cervix.Your doctor probably just mentioned this as it is a good idea to have pap smears once you become sexually active.
