Our expert says:
Lobo, lichen planus is a self-limiting disorder that may last for years. The only treatment that works in the acute/active stage is cortisone. Occlusive cortisone treatment i.e. cortisone cream covered by something like Glad wrap®, is usually the most successful. A sedating antihistamine in the evening should help a lot for the itching if it is present. Let me know if you have more questions. Good luck.
