Disc degeneration is part of the natural aging process. Discs do however also suffer through degeneration because of earlier injuries or abuse. There are unfortunately no remedies proven to substantially "rebuild" the intervertebral discs. Chiropractic care can often help to restore some movement in the given area and even alleviate the root pressure. On the other hand, a chiropractor can and possibly will refer you to a neurosurgeon for a further opinion should the examination prove that such care won't help.
