Clomid, or not clomid?

Dear Cyber-Gynae. I am 32 years old, and have two children aged 5 and 3. Before both pregnancies, I used the drug 'clomid' , which was obviously effective in treating my anovulation. For as long as I can recall, my periods have been very irregular. However, for the past six or so months, I have - for the first time ever - experienced regular periods, with PMS - something I've not had in the past. We are considering a third child now, and I'd like your opinion as to how long I should try to conceive 'naturally'. In other words, how many months should we try before approaching my gynae for the dreaded 'clomid' again?

I would suggest that you give it at least 6-9 months.
