Clomid is used to induce ovulation. It is used in women who do not ovulate and wish to conceive. It works by fooling the hormones which stimulate the ovary to ovulate into secreting higher levels.

If you check the archives you can get a lot more info. Clomid is a drug which induces ovulation in women who are not ovulating on their own. You are not more fertile than other women when you use Clomid, you still have the usual 25% chance of falling preggies each cycle.
