Cipralex and alcohol

Can anybody tell me why you are advised not to drink alcohol while taking Cipralex?

It is ALWAYS a bad idea to combine alcohol with ANY drug that affects your mind, and especially with any antidepressant. Remember, drinking alcohol is not compulsory or necessary in life.
The combination can make you more drunk than you expect, for a start ; it can make you MORE depressed ; and it can interfere with the beneficial effects of the medication, making it less effective or ineffective
