Our expert says:
I am not sure how Ciplatrim and Duromine compare because it depends on the patient. According to MIMS, Duromine is an appetite suppressant. The following side-effects can occur with Duromine (which contains phentermine as its active ingredient): pulmonary hypertension, central nervous system effects including psychotic episodes and hallucinations, cardiovascular effects, gastrointestinal disturbances, problems with urination, rash, impotence or changes in libido, facial oedema and blurred vision. If you do not develop side-effects, then you can use Duromine together with an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet. So it all depends on the patient and how he/she reacts to these 2 different drugs and also how effective they will be. One may work for you, while the other may not, or vice versa.
