two nights ago I choked very badly.
I was drinking some water and at the same time trying to burp.
My throat just seemed to lock up and started to close.
I could not get any air in.
My husband tried to hit my abdomen and try to knock air up into my chest , it was very scary!
what can I do to insure this does not happen again.
Could I have done any serious injury to my throat, example burst any kind of blood vessel.

Wouls appreciate a reply.

Thank you for visiting

You have to make sure that you swallow properly when drinking fluids to prevent yourself from choking again. Try to avoid breaking winds, yawning, coughing and eating while drinking.

Please note that I do not think that you have done any damage to your throat.

Kind regards
