child destruction

what do i do when i am a single mother with a self destructive eleven year old? he brakes down and verbally abuses every one in the familie , he talks about running away and killing himself. i have other two children that is three and ten months old, i have also been in a rather abusive relationship and he and this man did not get along. he acts with hatred towards the other two children . i am really scared for the safety of the young ones and i do think sometimes that he will maybe also attack me or his grandmother. we have big blow outs and then there come point where he just stops and goes on asif nothing happened . i dont know what to do anymore .

Whatever else if going on, he sounds like a very unhappy kid. Any chance of taking him to see a counsellor, preferably a child shrink, for careful assessment, and advice based on the results of that ? You don't know, if the man you have been with has been abusive towards you, whether he may also have been abusive towards the lad, and the boy may also be upset at seeing the guy be abusive towards you, and perhaps angry at you for accepting this. And this guy may, at least by example, have taught the boy to be violent and abusive.

Sounds like your son picked up some tips from your abusive partner. Talk to the school therapist or take him to a normal therapist if you have the money.
