CP Chat site, I haven't found. Might the United Cerebral Palsy Association of SA ( 011-435-036/7/8/9 ) know if there was one ? Err, then i see you tried that one. Tell them they should start support groups !
Sounds like it'd be an excellent idea for some folks to start one.
And post the links you've found here, in a fresh message, so others can benefit from them, too !

Please let me know if you find anywhere interesting.

My 20 year old son was diagnosed when he was 4 but luckily he is not very badly afflicted (did quite a lot of research at the time as it was quite a frightening discovery). He was admitted to New Hope School in Pretoria at the age of four and completed his matric there. Lots of speech, occupational and physio was given to him over the years. For ease he actually boarded there for a while.

As you say, the children are very differently affected, from blindess to total atrophy, it was quite an eye-opener.

I must say, my son has done me justice - he runs a locksmith in the centre of JHB and has not given me a day's grief!

Best wishes

There are also no support groups i've tried:

UNITED CP ASSOCIATION
NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THE DISABLED
CP GAUTENG

even in the newspapers etc. there is none. On asking why?
I get that there are so many different forms of cp and that no 2 cp's are the same ?
