Cat Scan vs MRI

Please could you tell me the difference between an abdominal and pelvis cat scan and an MRI for same?

An Abdominal scan look at your stomach and liver and pancreas and kidneys, a pelvic one looks at your uterus, bladder, ovaries etc. A Cat scan is

I guess an MRI will show up more and maybe different content than, say, a CT scan like a CT scan shows up far more detail than ordinary x-rays.
