Can pregnancy test be wrong afer 2 missed periods

I skipped two periods, did a home pregnancy test on the 7th of Des (results:negative). I was wondering, is it possible that a preg.test can be wrong, and that I after all can be pregnant?

YES! The home tests are based on a woman's HCG levels. If you have missed
two periods you should see your doctor. It could be stress related, hormone related,
pregnancy or something else (serious or not). Your doctor will know more aboutl
the situation and may check your uterus or perform an ultrasound. The doctor may
even draw some blood. Go to the doctor as soon as you can. Pregnancy tests that
are made for home use can be wrong and if you are pregnant, you need prenatal
care to start ASAP. Good luck.
