Is it possible for someone who has TB to test positive for HIV test, then later test Negative?

Hi Ngwana!

Having TB should not affect the result of a HIV test.

That said, the Rapid tests used are very sensitive and can deliver false positives. This is why a confirmatory test (different brand of rapid test) should always be done straight after a positive result on the screening (1st) test.

If in doubt, consider a PCR test (testing for the presence of the virus itself).
