Burning urine

My fiance says that after we made love on Sunday, the next day his left buttock was really painful. Then he started getting pins and needles in his left leg and it doesnt stop. On Wednesday his urine started burning. Please advise as to what this could be? Could it be an STD?

Dear Trishk
He may have a slipped disc in his back that causes the painful buttock and pins and needles. The burning urine could be due to an urine tract infection - the two probably aren't related. Let your GP have a look at his back and do an urine test - he may need physio and an antibiotic prescription
