burning throat and red skin from eating hot chilli

My husband ate a very hot chilli, he thought it was small greenpeppers and now his throat is burning and he has two very red parches on his neck. What can he do to get relieve?Should he drink a lot of water or milk or olive oil to eases the pain?

YDA, it’s probably cleared up by now, but if it happens again the best would be to just drink lots of water or milk for the throat and some Mucaine® for the stomach. Good luck.
