Burning Ears

Dear Doc

Just a query. Certain times of the day or night my son's (8 yrs old) ears turn red and he complains that his ears are hot. They are hot to the touch and I'm not certain if this is a sign of anything. He has a problem with allergies & asthma (not chronic). Could it be a fever, although his forehead & face does not get hot?

Thank you

Thank you for visiting health24.com.

Inflammation of the ears can be a sign of his chronic allergies. It is not necessary to treat the symptom, as it is not serious.

Kind regards
